What is heartburn?

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid often flows back into the esophagus. Over time, this reflux, also called reflux, can erode the mucous membranes in the esophagus and the larynx area and lead to inflammation.

Nowadays, a lot of people suffer from heartburn. Most of them are able to cope with the symptoms reasonably well. But others, on the other hand, need special treatment or medical intervention.

The most common signs of this disease

  • A burning sensation in the area of the chest
(usually after hearty, sumptuous meals and at night while sleeping)
  • Chest pain
  • Pushing
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Lumps in the throat

Nocturnal reflux attacks, how do they make themselves felt

  • Chronic cough
  • Asthma
  • Sleep disorders

When should you go to the doctor?

Now! If you experience chest pain, breathing problems, or any signs of reflux, it is recommended that you see your doctor immediately.
